The ideal fit for this position would be an energetic, outgoing, people oriented and self motivated candidate with strong verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment maintaining high level of customer focus.
The primary purpose of a Customer Service Associate is to directly interact with customers and provide fast and friendly customer service while maintaining a clean safe environment.
Customer Service Greets every customer in a quick and courteous manner.
Provides a pleasant shopping experience for all customers and responds to customer inquires in a timely fashion.
Handles all customer complaints according to company policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains product knowledge and provides customers with product recommendations.
Cash Handling General knowledge of all point of sale equipment.
Processes customer sales accurately and efficiently in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Performs till balancing as per company procedures at the start and end of each shift.
Ensures cash drawer levels are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Stock Control Receives and stocks all merchandise in accordance with company policy.
Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds following proper lifting procedures.
Ensures stock is faced up, clean and presentable at all times.
Apply the FIFO (first in first out) system, when receiving or stocking any product.
Ensures all damaged and/or out of date stock is removed, accurately recorded and placed in designated quarantine area.
Follows portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize loss.
Security & Loss Prevention Maintains full control of the store and its contents at all times using prevention techniques as per company to minimize loss (i.
e.
drive offs or retail theft etc).
Follows company policies and procedures for securing the premises upon end of day closure.
Cleanliness Maintains a high standard of cleanliness.
Cleans in accordance with the Libertys/brand specific sanitary standards including but not limited to:
sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning walls, counters, tables and service equipment.
Cleans the customer service area by removing trash, cleaning restrooms and the parking lot.
Teamwork & Communication Works effectively with others (individuals and departments) in a positive, supportive and cooperative manner.
Helps other associates in their duties and assists new associates in learning their new job skills.
Communicates any issues of concerns and ensures all internal matters are presented to GM in a timely manner.
Occupational Health & Safety Performs all duties in a safe and responsible manner to assure workers, customers, suppliers/contractors and the environment are not at risk.
Comply with all company safety policies, procedures and instructions.
Uses materials handling procedures and equipment provided to minimize contamination or injury.
Reports to management any unsafe practice or condition and follows all Liberty safety initiatives.
Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to read, write and speak English language.
Physically capable of standing for long hours.
Pass background check.
Must be able to pass a Class C operator certification.
