Fabrication Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The Fabrication Support Specialist will perform adjustments and repairs to manual and automatic equipment used in the support of wafer fabrication process for the 8 inch wafer fab operation at out Mountain Top, Pennsylvania site.The employee will be expected to perform other tasks, and dutiesas dictated by the company (e.g., to assist other union occupations and/orperform additional tasks within their skill sets). Team participation and team approach to problem solving will be expected of all individuals covered by the collective bargaining agreement. This is a Union position and will work 12 hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off.
Performance Objectives:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
Service andmaintain of exhaust systems including scrubbers and burn boxes
Leak checks dry pumps andassociated exhaust lines
Maintain MDA toxic gasmonitors
Maintain and service ofpumps
Maintain pods &smart tags
Rebuild/repair/align manufacturing probe cards through the use of amicroscope and tweezers
Clean equipment and parts,including but not limited to vacuum lines, scrubbers, polytube/boats, and beadblast/implant source
Maintain assignedFabrication area in a clean and orderly condition which may include thepainting or washing of equipment
Conduct appropriatepreventive maintenance as scheduled
Become a member of the Emergency Response team andparticipate in the required Hazmat/Gas Response training and incidentresponses
Work from verbal or writteninstructions, blueprints, line drawings or sketches
Communicate in a timelyand thorough fashion with all internal customers and team members
Assure compliance withall safety standards and participate in monitoring them.
Use quality techniques inperformance of assigned tasks
Obtain and maintain allrequired skill certifications
Maintain clean room protocols
Utilize computeraided manufacturing, such as Workstream and Cold Fusion for communication, datarecording and preventive maintenance scheduling
Assist technician oron-site vendor to troubleshoot, repair or replace sub-fab equipment.
Assist and instruct new andlesser skilled employees in operations
Assist other unionoccupations
Order parts for work areaas needed, using the on-line Purchase Requisition System
High school diploma orequivalent is required. Preference givento those with post secondary education in electronics, electro-mechanicaltechnology or a related field. Postsecondary education requirements may be waived if the individual, through workexperience, can be skill certified on all required tasks.
Work Experience:
Candidates must have aminimum of one year experience in the repair, maintenance, calibration and testingof equipment used in manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and reach, on a frequent basisover entire shift.
Must be able to pass requiredsurveillance physicals, including but not limited to HAZMAT, respiratoryphysicals, criteria for vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearingrequirements
Must have depth perception,either with corrected or uncorrected vision
Good manual dexterity andability to work with very small fragile parts
Must be able to lift 50pounds over a short distance on a frequent basis
Must be able to work with avariety of chemicals and gases
Must be able to wear use arespirator
Must be able to push up to1100 lbs. on casters

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
