Manufacturing Equipment Technician

Job Summary:
As an Equipment
Maintenance Technician at ON Semiconductor, you will maintain, repair, and
troubleshoot equipment in Implant, Metals, Thin, and Sort.
The equipment you support is critical for 24x7 manufacturing of semiconductor wafers
used in Automotive and Consumer applications throughout the world.
In this team based environment, you will work closely with Process Engineers
and Manufacturing to provide high quality products to our customers.
As an Implant, Metals, Thin,
and Sort Equipment Maintenance Technician you will have the
opportunity to:
+ Provide technical and hands-on service of semiconductormanufacturing equipment.
+ Perform electrical, mechanical and software troubleshootingto determine problems in non-functioning equipment.
+ Respond to equipment alarms, failure, and processmeasurement violations.
+ Perform preventive maintenance for Implant, Metals,Thin, and Sort equipment
+ Document proper maintenance procedures.
+ Provide detailed pass downs to the team regarding dailyissues and activities.
+ Establish and execute plans to improve quality of wafersprocessed through the area.
+ Identify opportunities to improve availability tomanufacturing.
+ Commit to creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
Successes within thefirst six months:
+ Complete basic preventive maintenance and troubleshootingon all Implant, Metals, Thin, and Sortequipment, with a mindset to continuously improve equipment availability.
+ Perform required preventive maintenance and repairprocedures in an independent and efficient manner.
+ Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, andshow initiative to support multiple tool platforms in Implant, Metals,Thin, and Sort.
+ Pass all safety certifications required for the job.
+ MinimumAAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Technology, or aMilitary Electronics's degree.
+ Mustbe willing to work night shift on four day on / four day offschedule.
+ Strongelectrical and mechanical aptitude is required to succeed in thisrole.
+ ExperiencewithVarian M2isputter tools, AMAT 9500XR or Axcelis GSD implanters, SEZ201/203 spin etchers and Disco DFG840 grinders is preferred,but not required.
+ Mustbe able to work with various hazardous gases and chemicals. Must beable to wear full face airline respirator.
+ Mustbe able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1/3 of the time.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
+ Mustbe able to work in both an office and anti-static clean roomenvironment.
+ Strongcommunicator, who can effectively work with a team of manufacturingoperators, process engineers, as well as other technicians.
